Tibag or Santacruzan is a historical religious activity of the Christians which started in the mid-1800's, it was first being held in Malolos, Bulacan. It is held to honor of Reyna Elena of Constantinople with his son, the great emperor Constantine finding the real Cross, the cross where Jesus Christ was crucified. It is a festival celebration all throughout the country, celebrated as one by prayers and offerings. Before, Santacruzan was celebrated through parade or procession and will end up to the church, praying without ceasing and offers each of their personal intentions. The true essence and purpose of the event is to commemorate the finding of the True Cross, as well as the characteristics and virtues portrayed by each maiden.
